DESIGN BRIEF

This project was undertaken with TGArchitects, for a proposed new addition of a medical clinic/ retreat in the greater Sunshine Coast.

Some existing buildings within the complex were to be retained and refurbished, with a new wing added for general in-patient treatment rooms. The form of the wing follows the natural slope of the land with a large folded roof that wraps around like a blanket, to provide a nurturing refuge for patients within the bushland setting. 

Dark metal cladding and natural timbers provide a harmonious material palette that blends into the surrounding landscape.
