DESIGN / BRIEF

The brief for this project was to create a warm and welcoming cafe` space with character, to attract new patrons to an existing establishment.

The main space was maintained and re-furbished with the central bar, surrounded by separate seating areas, to improve flow and encourage interaction between patrons and staff for a more convivial experience.

Existing period features were restored to maintain their rustic charm and a simple materials palette of wood, mild steel and ceramic evoke a Mediterranean-inspired feel. Specific designer furniture items were selected for both comfort and aesthetic appeal.
