A feasibility study was conducted on a large site in the outer suburbs, for a proposed new independent living housing development.

The leafy green surrounds provided inspiration for the layout and forms of the resort-style luxury residences. Large open terraces with individual plunge pools provide semi-private viewing platforms for residents off the main living areas. Simple raked roofs provide relief and detail over strong geometric forms. High-level clerestory windows enable dappled natural sunlight to enter living areas within and encourage cross-flow ventilation throughout.

Natural robust materials like travertine, metallic zinc and clear stained timbers were proposed for their appearance and longevity, reinforcing the notion quality and elegance that complement the surrounding environment.
